Young Crafters Unite - Challenge #13

Hi everyone

Today I have my card for the new YCU challenge to share with you. Please go

Here's my card for this challenge:

 

I diecut two pieces of paper which I had covered with neon post it notes to make the birds. You can see the last card I did like this on here. I stamped the sentiment with black brilliance ink, and drew in the black line with a pen. 


I am also entering this card into the Keen on Neon Challenge in the Moxie Fab World =)

Birthday Banner Card

Today I'm going to share a card I made to enter into the following challenges:

Here's the card I made:

I white embossed HA's chevron background stamp, and added pink and aqua ink overtop. I then used a die to cut out triangles, but I'm sure that could be easily done with a craft knife and ruler. I stamped a black curved line onto a white piece of paper, and drew in a bow at each with a black pen. I slightly curved the banner pieces, and adhered their tops to the black line with liquid glue. I then stamped the sentiment under the banner with black ink. I then rounded the corners of the white piece and adhered it to a black cardbase.

Asian Thank You Card

Hi everyone =)

Today I have a card to share, that I made to enter into the following challenges:

Here's the card I made:

I paper pieced and colored the asian girl/doll and added some mini diecut circles to the image, which I added some gloss to as well. I stamped the sentiment onto a small piece of kraft cardstock, and sponged the edges lightly. I adhered the sentiment onto a kraft cardbase using foam adhesive. I also adhered the top of the doll/girl with foam adhesive, and her feet with liquid glue to make her more dimensional.

Stitched Baby Card

Hi everyone

I am sorry it's been so quiet on my blog lately. I started working this week, and was away on vacation the week before that. But, I did get some creating done this weekend, and will be sharing what I made with you this week =)

Today, I am sharing a card I made to enter into the following challenges:

Lawnscaping - One layer

Here's the card I made:

I used the stroller stamp from Lawn Fawn to create a template for stitching the stroller onto a white cardbase. Here's a video I had made a while ago, showing the technique:



I also took a quick picture of the template and the pierced cardbase before I started stitching:

For this card, I used two different colors of embroidery floss, and the back stitch I also show in the video I linked above. When I had finished stitching, I had to cut of a little bit on the right side of the cardbase and the bottom, to make the stitched image more centered. The card ended up being about 1/8" smaller in width and height then a standard sized card. I then stamped the sentiment (which says 'congratulations' in Norwegian) and finished the card by rounding all four corners =)

Butterfly Love Card

Hi everyone

Today I have a card to share, that I made to enter into the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp - Kristina's Inspiration (I first saw that red as a hot pink color on my screen somehow, and only noticed after making the card that it was actually red and not pink. Hopefully it qualifies anyways =)

Here's the small card I made:

I stamped the block stamp with the butterfly twice, once with hot pink ink and once with black ink. I cut out the whole pink panel, and only the butterfly itself from the black. I adhered the black butterfly to the pink panel, and bent the wings up. I added a few round rhinestones, and adhered the whole panel to a small black cardbase.
