Here's the card I made:

I stamped, colored and paper pieced the elements for the image on this card. Are you kind of confused as to why I put a crown on the seal's head for this birthday card? There's a good explanation to that. Here in Norway, we have a tradition of making paper crowns for children on their birthdays, and we call them birthday crowns. We don't usually have paper party hats, only the crown for the birthday boy/girl. So I thought a birthday crown would be great on this birthday card for Chari =)

Good Luck Penguin Card

Hi everyone

Today I am sharing a card I made yesterday, and I have already entered it into the Gallery Idol contest. I also made the card to enter into these challenges:

Here's the card I made:

I was inspired by the color combination on the inspiration picture from the SPARKS challenge. I stamped the penguin in aqua, colored a piece of paper yellow with a copic, and cut out a tie shape. I cut the inside of the penguin's beak from white paper i had covered with orange ink, and stamped the legs of the penguin with the same orange ink. I cut out the penguin in aqua, adhered the tie, and adhered the penguin onto the orange stampe legs on the white piece of paper. I covered a white cardbase with an old patterned paper (which I don't know the name of - sorry), and stamped the sentiment in grey to match. I actually also went over the grey I had stamped with a different tone of grey marker, to make it match better. I rounded the one corner of the image piece, and adhered it to the cardbase using foam adhesive.

I Believe In You Card

Hi everyone

This will be a quick post, I just wanted to share this card I made for the Gallery Idol contest:

 

I simply paper pieced the dragon and stamped the background and the sentiment. I finished the card off by coloring some pearls orange and adding them next to the sentiment.

Colorblocking on washi tape

Hi everyone

Today I have a card and a video to share with you. The card was made to enter into the current Lawnscaping challenge, which is embossing.

Here's the video about the colorblocking on washi technique:

After filming the video, I added some shading to the embossed unicorn, using Copic markers. I adhered the sentiment strip and rounded the corners of the white strip. I punched some tiny stars out of the blue faux washi tape I had made, and added them to the rounded corners. I then adhered the full piece to a kraft cardbase using foam adhesive.

Young Crafters Unite - Challenge #10

Hi everyone

Today I have my card for the eight YCU challenge to share with you. Please go check it out on the YCU blog! The challenge this time is:

Here's my card for this challenge:

(I am sorry about the bad pictures here. That yellow is a bit softer irl then it appears here)

Since the challenge this time is to use flowers/floral imagery, I decided to paper piece a flower shape from one of my newest Paper Smooches sets. I embossed it in white onto yellow and pink patterned paper, cut out, and layered it together with a yellow button. I stamped a sentiment in pink, and added a straight line with a grey colored pencil, on a white piece of cardstock. I rounded the top, left corner, and adhered it onto a mat of yellow patterned paper. I adhered the flower in the top right corner of the piece, and adhered the whole thing to a grey cardbase using foam adhesive.

Here's the card:

I stamped, colored and cut out the monster, making her arms extra long. I added a bow to her head, and a rhinestone on top. I made the pompoms using twine. I stamped the sentiment onto a white piece of cardstock, and adhered the monster using foam adhesive. I then adhered the pompoms using glue dots. I rounded the corners, added a small pink mat, and adhered the whole thing onto a black cardbase using foam adhesive.

Here's the card I made:

I used the overall design of the SPARKS sketch, and the colors from the tuesday trigger. I drew lines onto a piece of white cardstock with a pencil, stamped bird silhouettes in different colors, and went over the pencil lines with a grey marker. I made a mistake with the marker, and went right over the one orange bird that overlapped a line. To remedy the situation, I stamped out one more bird in each color, cut them out, and adhered them overtop of their corresponding birds. That covered up the mistake on the orange bird, and gave some more definition to a few of the birds as well. I stamped the sentiment in two of the colors I had used for the birds, and adhered the white panel onto a kraft cardbase using foam adhesive.

I am featuring the stamp set called "Hauntingly Delightful" from There She Goes in my post today.

This set has a lot of fun Halloween images, and lots of great sentiments too =) You can find this set in TSG's webshop here. I love that some of the sentiments will go for other themes the Halloween, and wanted to showcase that today. Here's the first card I made for this blog hop:

I stamped the cute mummy, and colored it in using some different bright colors of copic markers. I drew a simple gift image, and colored the gift ribbon on it with the same colors as I used for the mummy. I cut out both the mummy and gift with scissors. I then stamped the sentiment on a strip of paper, and adhered everything to a white cardbase using foam adhesive. I added a black line with a marker to the left and right side. 


Here's the other card I made for this blog hop.

To make this card, I started with stamping the ghosts and sentiment onto white cardstock. I did some light shading on the ghosts, rounded the corners of the white piece, and attached it to a small black cardbase using foam adhesive.

Today I have a mini card to share with you, that I made to enter into the following challenges:

Here's my card:

I used a really old stamp set from Maya Road to stamp the cupcake in different colored inks, and paper pieced it together. The stamp set and the teal colored ink I used are no longer available, I think. I stamped a small flower from a Paper Smooches stamp set, and a sentiments from a different PS stamp set. The pearls are a mix of old Basic Grey pearls (the turquoise ones) and white KaiserCraft ones I had lying around that I had colored previously for a different project. I used my spellbinders nestabilities circles to cut out two circles from white, scored an edge on the back piece, and adhered them together to form the card base. I used a circle cutter to cut some rings of colored cardstock to adhere to the cardbase. I used foam adhesive to adhere the cupcake and sentiment piece onto the cardbase.

Here is the card I made for our mini blog hop:

I used the hen stamp, and stamped it normally and reverse stamped it too to make the hen and rooster. I omitted the "flap" under the chin to make the hen different from the rooster. I don't know if hens have those flaps or not, but I thought the hen looked more feminine without it =) I also colored the red on the hen's head with a lighter color then on the rooster. With the little chick in between the hen and rooster, I think they look like a cute little family =) For the sentiment, I used stamps from Lawn Fawn's "Plus One".
