Fix for blogger commenting problems

Hi

I just found a solution to the blogger-commenting issues going on, over at Marianne's blog here. This is what she said to do:

If the comment box won't open, click it and press control and alt at the same time. If you are asked to sign in then uncheck the stay signed in box. You will then be able to comment as yourself, not anonymous, and you will stay signed in.

Papertrey Ink May Blog Hop

Hi everyone

Today I'll be sharing with you a tag I made using Papertrey Ink products. I hadn't really created much with my PTI products since getting them, and thought that participating in the blog hop they're having, would be a good way to use some of my products. The challenge for this May blog hop is to use flowers, and so I had fun playing with my flower stamps and coordinating dies from PTI. 

Here's the tag I made for the blog hop: 

I diecut a tag using the Tag Sale #1 die, out of some Vintage Cream cardstock (thank you Mary for sending me this cardstock =). I stamped a frame and greeting from Fillable Frames Additions 1 in the middle of the tag. I then diecut and stamped three different flowers using the Beautiful Blooms II and coordinating dies. For the centers of the flowers, I diecut two of the buttons from the Buttoned Up #1 die. I also punched out a small circle for the largest flower, and pierced holes in it to mimic the buttons I had diecut. I used all Distress Inks for my stamping on the tag. I also added some ribbon from May Arts to the tag.

PS Monster holding flowers Card

Hi everyone!

So, just the other day Lily Pad announced a new sketch challenge. I was so thrilled when I saw the sketch, 'cause it's right up my alley! This is the sketch for the current "Lucy's Lovely Lines" challenge over at Lily pad:

I made a card using a stamp from Paper Smooches, from their "Falling for You" stamp set. I was able to record my process of making the card on video, so please watch the video below to see me making the card =)

Lawnscaping #10

Hi everyone! Wow, I just realized that this is the tenth Lawnscaping challenge. Congrats on hitting double digits, Lawnscaping! The challenge this time is:

I will also be entering my card into the current challenge over at Simon Says Stamp Challenge, which is the theme "Look what the stork brought!", in honour of Heidi's new baby girl =)

Here's my card:

I used two Lawn Fawn sets and one Hero Arts background stamp on this card. The stroller and the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's "Plus One". I colored the stroller using Promarkers. The heart on the stroller is from Lawn Fawn's "Bake Me A Cake". I cut the heart out and added some Glossy Accents to it to make it shiny. I stamped the "Cling Dots" CG139 stamp from Hero Arts using "Spun Sugar" distress ink onto the cardbase. I colored a mat for my image with the same grey Promarker I had used for the image, to get the coordinating mat for my image-piece. I adhered the image&mat to the cardbase using foam adhesive, to add some dimension to the card =)

Bee Happy PS Card

Hi everyone

I wanted to share a card I made with the newest digital stamps from Paper Smooches. Kim had originally drawn out this fun little bee for one of her newly released sets, Chubby Chums, but it didn't make the set. And so I'm soo happy she decided to add it as this month's new, free digital stamp! You can find this wonderful stamp and the sentiment here.

Okay, so on to the card I made:

Again, I used this super fun digital stamp from Paper Smooches. I printed it out several times on white cardstock, and colored in different parts with the red and yellow. I cut everything out, and paper pieced the bee together. I had printed one of the bees with the sentiment below it, and I had kept that for my base. I did make the sentiment a little bit larger than it originally was, and so it came out looking a bit "feathered". Kim from Paper Smooches says on the page for the digital stamps, that she reccomends to keep the digital stamps the original size to keep it at the best quality. So to make it look a bit better, I just went over the sentiment with a black marker. For the bee's wings, I cut the two apart from each other, added some shimmer and curved them seperately. I then colored the wings on the base piece in the same red, and adhered the wings on top. I also added some lines to the image piece with the same colors. The image piece was adhered to the white cardbase using foam adhesive.

Lawnscaping #9 - Second entry

Hi everyone

I wanted to share with you my second entry for the current Lawnscaping challenge which is:

And here's the card I made: 

I used the racoon from Lawn Fawn's "Critters in the Forest", the cake layers from "Bake Me A Cake" and the letters from "Jessies ABC's" to spell out my sentiment. The # was handwritten. I chose this sentiment instead of something like Congrats on winning!, because I wanted this card to fit for occasions where the recipient hadn't necessarily won a contest, but had been number one anyways. Someone who had been best in class, for instance =)
I colored in the racoon with Promarkers, and cut him out. For the racoons medal, I hand-drew the ribbon onto red cardstock and cut out. I then embossed a piece of paper with gold embossingpowder and cut it out into that small circle using an office hole-punch. I put a couple of layers of the gold embossingpowder on top of the cutout circle as well, to make it more even and dimensional.The banner that I had cut for the sentiment was backed with a piece of paper that I had embossed with the gold embossingpowder as well.The winners pedestal was created with two sizes of cake-layers.
I adhered two colors of cardstock to the front of a white cardbase using my pink atg. The racoon, the pedestal and the banner were adhered to the card using foam adhesive.

Lawnscaping #9

Hi everyone

Today I'm going to share the card I made for the ninth Lawnscaping challenge. The challenge is:

And here's my card:

I used four Lawn Fawn stampsets on my card. The owl is from Critters in the Forest, the 'Happy Birthday' is from Bake Me A Cake, the exclamation-point is from Plus One and for the rosett, I used parts the bow-stamp from Sew Lovely. I used my Memento Tuxedo Black marker (which I'm also giving away one of here) to ink up only the larger side of the bow stamp. I then stamped it three times, in a rosett-type of shape.

I used some scrap AC patterned paper to draw the gift on, using my Memento Tuxedo Black marker. I drew out straight lines for the ribbon on the gift, on some white paper and colored it and the rosett in with a silver Promarker. The owl was colored with Promarkers as well, and his partyhat was hand-drawn and colored in the same way. I added googly-eyes to the owl, and adhered the lower parts of his body to the inside of the gift.

For the banner, I stamped the sentiment on a strip of white paper. I scored and folded the strip twice on each side, with the second score 1/4" away from the first, and cut v-shapes into the ends. I drew along the lines of the banner with my Memento Tuxedo Black marker, to make it blend better with the stamped image.
I adhered some blue patterned paper (by TPC Studios, I believe) to a square cardbase, and added some drawn lines to frame the image. I then adhered the gift&owl pieces using foam adhesive, and the banner using adhesive only on the very ends of the banner.

Butterfly Card

Hi everyone

Today I made a card to enter into these challenges:

Lily Pad - Inspired by Lily Pad (I took inspiration from how Joy had bent up the wings etc. on the blue butterfly on her card with three butterflies on this post)

And here's the card I created for these challenges:

I used a Spellbinders die to cut out the butterfly from some scrap patterned paper. I traced it onto a cream cardbase, and drew in some lines as well. I sponged the edges of the butterfly with some distress ink. I adhered the butterfly's body to the cardbase, and bent the wings up. I added rhinestones to the butterfly and the corners of the line frame.
